Corte Milion

A few steps from here you can find Corte Seconda del Milion, a place surrounded by sixteenth-century houses that retains the medieval charm of Venice. This name derives from the Milione, Marco Polo’s book about his travels and adventures in the Far East between 1271 and 1295.

The court is in fact traditionally known as Marco Polo's house and, although the houses were built a few centuries later, they actually rise on the ancient foundations of the explorer's house.
